The Antelope Valley Air Pollution Control District is seeking to amend rulesthat require businesses to follow the same regulations as in the more pollutedSouth Coast District. It is hoped that the new rules would attract local jobsand reduce commuting and car emmissions. Local businesses could also buypollution credits from the neighboring South Coast District, decreasing thesmog which flows into the Valley.
