Albany institutions of higher education contribute funds to lure workers to buy homes in near-campus neighborhoods.

Six Albany educational institutions with a combined 10,000 employees are joining forces to create a pooled resource to help workers purchase nearby homes. A local bank will match the funds. "The employer-assisted housing program could be in place by August, according to the draft presented... at the downtown campus of the University at Albany."
