Engineering Firm Fluor To Relocate To Dallas

In yet another sign of how unfriendly to business Southern California has become, AEC giant Fluor Corp. announces plans to relocate to Dallas.

Fluor Corp is the nation's largest publicly traded construction services company in the nation, with 35,000 employees worldwide. The firm announced plans to relocate its headquarters from Aliso Viejo in Southern California where the firm was founded, to the Dallas area.

"Boeckmann insisted that California's business climate and transportation conditions had nothing to do with the decision to start looking for a headquarters facility in Texas."
