The developer is Olympus Real Estate Corp., a Texas conglomerate founded by Tom Hicks, the majority owner of the Texas Rangers baseball team and the Dallas Stars of the National Hockey League. Plans call for a 20,000-seat arena -- plus some retail and light office development -- at Piers 48 and 50, just south of the Lefty O'Doul Bridge leading to Pac Bell Park.
