Malaysia's Deputy Prime Minister says that urban planning should "have the following characteristics:

  • Beautiful: An emphasis on beautiful surroundings...
  • Clean: ...necessary for the health and well being
  • Lively: A vibrant town...
  • Safe: Efforts must be made to reduce the crime rate...
  • Business-friendly: Residents should be able to receive high-quality services..."
