National City, CA, is planning to construct a marina, an excursion train, and a museum in an area that now hosts abandoned industrial buildings, junkyards, and defunct railroads. The planned museum will feature exhibits onrailroad history. The city's planners are also interested in seeing offices, restaurants and retail space in the area.
