London's Transport Chief, an American, will become one of Britian's highest paid public servants.

"London's transport commissioner is to be offered a £1m pay package that will make him one of Britain's highest paid public servants." Under the current contract, the 69-year-old American, Bob Kiley has a "basic remuneration package is worth more than £360,000 a year. Apart from a salary of £250,000, he also enjoys free accommodation in a £2m mansion in Belgravia, complimentary travel in London and free flights to the United States."
