California's Growth Continues Shift Southward, Eastward

Five Southern California counties ranked in the top 10 nationwide for growth, according to the census estimates.

"The San Francisco Bay area, long the must-go destination for speculators and visionaries of every ilk, is losing people. Meanwhile, greater Los Angeles is absorbing nearly 300,000 more people each year. But it is the counties in and around the Central Valley as well as Inland Southern California that continue to see the steadiest population surge, the Census Bureau reported."
