The new design of Lick-Wilmerding High School has students feeling good about school.

"High above us in the black-clad world of architectural journals, San Francisco's Lick-Wilmerding High School is on a roll. The school's new look has been blessed by two New York journals, Metropolis and Architectural Record...Now here's what truly counts: The students like it, too...'It's a big improvement -- I enjoy being in school a lot more than I did before,' said Danise Olague, a junior in an architecture design studio at Lick-Wilmerding I visited last week. 'The changes opened up the campus. They make it feel a lot bigger.' "
