Ann Arbor bus system to go out-county to get workers.
The ride to Ann Arbor may soon get easier for workers who live in the Wayne County suburbs. The Ann Arbor Transportation Authority will start a pilot program this summer to provide a shuttle service for people who work in Ann Arbor but live outside Washtenaw County. The shuttle service is expected to begin in August and last for about two years. Officials then will evaluate it. 'We know where there are pockets of employees (outside of Washtenaw County),' said Greg Cook, head of the Ann Arbor Transportation Authority. 'The bus service will attempt to give people another option for mobility and take some cars off the road.'"
