"Of the approximately 6.4 million people nationwide who usually travel to work using public transportation, nearly one-third live in New York City, according to a new analysis of American Community Survey data released by the U.S. Census Bureau. San Francisco is among the cities with the highest use of public transit, according to a U.S. Census Bureau report released Tuesday. The only U.S. cities with higher public transit use were New York, with 55 percent, and Washington, D.C., with 37 percent."
