Florida’s Brightline high-speed train will open its station at Orlando International Airport on September 22.

According to an article in Progressive Railroading, the Brightline high-speed rail service to Orlando International Airport will begin service on September 22 after a delay that prevented it from opening in time for Labor Day weekend as planned.
“The launch means Brightline will provide rail service between Orlando and the following cities in South Florida: Miami, Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton and West Palm Beach.” The new stop marks the culmination of the privately operated Florida HSR line’s “ultimate business model,” said a press release from Brightline President Patrick Goddard.
The article adds, “In Orlando, transportation and mobility options will cater to the needs of the Orlando visitor through Brightline+ products available to book directly through the Brightline app and website.”
Brightline, the only private operator of high-speed rail passenger service in the United States, is moving forward with another project, Brightline West, that will connect Los Angeles County and Las Vegas.
