Detroit Looks To Youth To Rebuild For The Future
"Maya Watson longs for a Detroit that resembles Chicago or Atlanta, teeming with art galleries, cafes and cultural flair. 'Myself and a lot of friends have considered leaving Detroit because of lack of opportunities jobs and social,' said Watson, 25, who lives on the citys west side. But rather than leave, Watson joined a young adult task force created by the Detroit City Council. Its members are determined to prevent young, professional adults from relocating to more cosmopolitan cities or moving to Metro Detroit suburbs."
