Host Carol Coletta discusses sports arenas and their effects on cities, with veterans of such controversies. Each guest on this week's Smart City radio show has worked to make his new facility a catalyst for development in the surrounding neighborhood. They are Andy Dolich of the Memphis Grizzlies whose new FedEx Forum will open in September, 2004, Barry Silberman who is buiding the new arena for the Charlotte Bobcats NBA franchise, and Pat Gallagher with the Giants whose privately-financed Pacific Bell Park has transformed a long-neglected neighborhood in San Francisco. Listen live on the Web Saturdays at 8 a.m. CST and Sundays at noon CST. In Memphis and the Mid-South, tune into 91.1, WKNO FM, at 9 a.m. Sundays or on 88.9, WKNA FM, Saturdays at 8 a.m. and Sundays at noon. Or listen to archived shows online anytime.
