Johnny Simon shares the work of artist Marc Yankus, who created a series of images that remove people, cars, and animals from images of New York City.
"The resulting photos show an eerily empty New York, as if someone was strolling through the city on New Years Day, or in the aftermath of a zombie apocalypse," reports Simon.
The photos were on display until recently at the Clamp Art Gallery in Manhattan, part of part of Yankus's show "New York Unseen." Both Simon's article and the Clamp Art Gallery's website include samples of Yakus's work.
