A regional planning agency in charge of administering a $2.6 billion transportation fee program will now also oversee Riverside County's effort to acquire 153,000 acres of habitat.... The habitat plan, when completed, will acquire 153,000 acres for plant and habitat conservation, at an estimated total cost of approximately $1.5 billion.
