Construction is underway on about 60 developments valued at $10 million or more in the city of Portland.

Eliot Njus reports on the city's development heat map, noticing that much of the development energy is focused around the Downtown Core. "Other construction hotspots include North Interstate Avenue, the Pearl District and the Central Eastside," according to Njus.

Njus also notes that despite the number of cranes and work sites still conspicuous around the city, construction has actually slowed.

In addition to the heat map, Njus also provides details on the 11 highest-construction-value projects. The list includes the new Multnomah County Central Courthouse, a Hyatt Regency Portland at the Oregon Convention Center, the Fourth and Montgomery Building (which will house classrooms and offices for Portland State University), and multiple large apartment buildings.
