The transportation network company has purchased the largest operators of bike share programs in the United States.

A post on the Lyft website announces that the company has complete its purchase of Motivate, the largest bike share operator in North America. "Together Lyft and Motivate will revolutionize urban transportation and put bikeshare systems across the country on a path toward growth and innovation," according to the post.
The latest news legitimizes news reported at the beginning of June about the potential for the deal, and furthers a trend in integration begun by Lyft competitor Uber acquiring multi-modal companies.
Sean O'Kane picked up the news about Lyft's acquisition of Motivate for The Verge, as did Patrick Sisson for Curbed.
