Ridership on the North Sounder commuter rail service from Seattle to Everett lags behind the South Sounder. Stephen Fesler believes adding four stations within the city of Seattle would benefit the line and add ridership.
Four new stations, Broad Street, Smith Cove, Fishermen's Terminal, and Ballard Station, could be added for relatively low cost, according to Fesler, and could produce a strong increase over the current 1,750 or so daily riders.
