Stephanie Stokes shares insight into the rising rents and housing costs in the Atlanta housing market, via research by Georgia State professor Dan Immergluck.

Immergluck's warning: that unless Atlanta takes a proactive approach to the housing market, the city risks becoming like San Francisco. "In other words, a city for the wealthy," explains Stokes.

In addition to a pile of statistics showing how quickly housing prices are spiking in parts of Atlanta, Stokes also reports a few policy actions recommended by Immergluck and a local developer.
