The panoramas of Heinrich Berann had been locked up in a vault, Now they are available for download.

Betsy Mason shares the news that panoramic works were created by Austrian artist Heinrich Berann, a pioneer of mountainscape painting, are now available online.
Until recently, these paintings were stored in away from public view by the National Park Service. According to Mason, "the National Park Service released the new images on their newly redesigned online map portal, which also has more than a thousand maps that are freely available for the public to download."
The article includes a slideshows with each of the panoramas, accompanied by an explanation of the artistic choices made in the images, along with other famous examples of Berann's work.
