Out of Atlanta, news of a massive change of pace for developer Loudermilk Companies.
Loudermilk Companies is better known for developments in affluent central city neighborhoods like Buckhead and Midtown.
Now, however, the company is planning the "The Preserve at Agriculture Village" in Perry, more than 100 miles south of Atlanta. "The development, which will include retail, office space, a hotel, and 350 single-family homes, will rise on 240 acres next to the Georgia National Fairgrounds," writes Michael Kahn.
Jrred Schenke broke the news about the development plans for Bisnow Atlanta. "At a time when developers are focused on major metro areas for massive mixed-use developments, a project of this nature is an anomaly. But Loudermilk said the state-owned Agricenter is driving a tremendous amount of untapped demand for retail and residential in Perry," explains Schenke.
