While the public debate over what happens to the WTC site continues, the site is already being rebuilt. Though the redevelopment is supposed to be "temporary" no one knows for how long.
"Though these efforts are deemed temporary, there is no telling how permanently temporary they may become. In other words, what is being constructed at this moment will be the physical reality experienced for years by hundreds of thousands of visitors and workers in Lower Manhattan."
