After years of failure, Arizona attracts a new international biotech research group.

After years of missed opportunities, Arizona leaders pulled together to grab a 21st-century brass ring: an international biotech research group. State leaders announced that genetics researcher Jeffrey Trent will move to Arizona to lead the International Genomics Consortium and to head an affiliated research group. So far, about $90 million has been raised to fund the facility.
