Where are the most dangerous—and least populated—places to live in America? Surprisingly, none are on the west coast.

Wilmington, Delaware tops the list of the most dangerous small towns in America, according to a new study by the Movoto team.
Movoto looked at FBI crime data for some of America's smallest cities, taking into account violent crimes, property crimes, and the chance that residents of the cities would have being the victim of a crime.
"Florida accounted for the single largest share of cities in the top 10, with four. It’s interesting to note that all 10 are either in the Midwestern, Mid-Atlantic, or Southern regions of the country," according to researcher Randy Nelson.
Canton, Ohio and Jackson, Tennessee were also at the top of the list. The safest small city in America? National City, California, a San Diego suburb.
