Convention Centers: Is The Market Shrinking?

Cities across the nation are engaged in a "convention center race" but the demand may be shrinking.

"Pittsburgh has plunged boldly into a hotly contested space race in which dozens of cities around the country are building new convention centers or enlarging the ones they have. Pittsburgh, like its rivals, has put out a siren call for teachers' conventions, biomedical meetings, industrial trade shows and religious gatherings."
