"The Bay Area Council supports putting teeth in housing policy by requiring in some way that job growth be matched by housing growth in each part of the region... The severity of jobs-housing imbalance has spilled outside the boundaries of the Bay Area. An interregional partnership has developed between job-rich counties in the Bay Area and adjacent Central Valley counties with affordable housing."
