World's Most Expensive Shopping Streets

Cushman & Wakefield researches the most expensive retail location in the world. Would you believe $700 per square foot?

In a survey of 221 locations in 43 countries, Cushman & Wakefield found the most expensive shopping street in New York City-East 57th Street-capturing a rental rate of $700.02 per square foot. Hong Kong's Causeway Bay came in second, commanding a rate of $523.04. The third most expensive location was Paris's Avenue des Champs-Elysees at $494.43. The report shows the ten most expensive streets for the12-month period ending June 2001.
