The money for the $100 million trust for affordable housing will come from various sources including a portion of the tobacco settlement to CA, an increased share of vehicle license fees, the CRA and federal development block grants. Similar trust funds have been set up in Sacramento, Palo Alto, Seattle, Chicago and Boston.
