"A new research report by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) warns that by 2015 greenhouse gas emissions from transportationin the developing world will exceed those in the industrialized worldunless the fuel economy of cars and trucks is improved and trafficgrowth is curbed...The report, which considers all modes of transport, including ground,air and ocean, looks at mobility's impact on economic development,social welfare and environmental quality in both developed anddeveloping countries."
