"In a move that probably has such taste arbiters as Martha Stewart and Ralph Lauren taking notes, the man whose publicly traded company bills him as 'the most collected living artist in U.S. history' has extended his brand identity to include a 101-home suburban subdivision. Yesterday 'The Village, a Thomas Kinkade Community' opened its models to the public -- with Kinkade himself on hand to cut the ribbon at what he says will be 'an environment where families can thrive.'"
