"The revitalization underway in some of America's urban centers represents one of the most important, if surprising, developments of the new millenium...Perhaps the most salient reason for urban revival comes from the role our cities are playing in the enormous technological revolution now transforming the larger economy....Milken Institute Senior Fellow Joel Kotkin and Director of Regional andDemographic Studies, Ross DeVol, released a new study titled 'Knowledge-Value Cities in the Digital Age' that finds that certain urban centers are undergoing unexpected revitalization thanks to an influx ofknowledge-value workers into formerly depressed city centers. Other cities, pegged emerging-technology cities, are experiencing growth by servicing the fulfillment needs of high-tech industries and clusters.
