City of San Fernando Heritage Park Historical & Cultural Survey
City of San Fernando Recreation & Community Services Dept.
The Mayor of San Fernando has formed an ad-hoc committee for the purpose of developing the vacant property at 4th & Hubbard streets into a historic and/or culturally significant park. In this respect the City is seeking a consultant for the purpose of investigating the history of the site. There are indications that the Tatvian Indians originally occupied the site. The location of the site may have been significant to the Tatvians due to a underground water source or spring. The consultant will be required to initiate the research and report to the committee with the findings. The findings will influence the nature and direction of the developement of a passive-use park related to it's history.
The City is seeking bids for this project. We would anticipate the proiject requiring approximately one week (40 hours) of time. A lump sum bid or hourly rate and time required can be submitted. The City hopes to move on this project as soon as possible. Bids can be submitted via e-mail or fax.
