By a 3-2 vote, the Village of Saranac Lake in the Adirondack mountains of New York decides not to complete an environmental review for a Wal-Mart store.
The Village Board of Saranac Lake, NY, puts off further environmental review for a proposed Wal-Mart supercenter that is looking to have residential land re-zoned to accommodate the 110,000 square foot store. Residents are divided on brining in large scale retail, and also preserving the businesses in Saranac lake.
