"Another big ticket infrastructure project has just been finalised to ease Bangalore's traffic woes. In what's seen as a gift to Bangaloreans, chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday gave the nod for the Monorail project, whose work will begin on August 15."

"Monorail work will commence on August 15 and the project will be executed in 15 months. The first 18-km stretch will be taken up on a pilot basis," Kumaraswamy, who completed 100 days in office, said at Meet-the-Press organised by the Bangalore Reporters' Guild.
