On August 24th 2000, Los Angeles regained the title for the 'Smoggiest City' in the nation. But as Southern California's smog season winds down, Houston has surged ahead to reclaim that title. In Houston, much of the pollution comes from oil refineries, petrochemical plants and cargo ships."
