Supervisor proposes adding 400 more cabs in San Francisco to "pick up residents in the neighborhoods."
A proposal was presented at the board of supervisors to add 400 more cabs in San Francisco to "pick up residents in the neighborhoods." It hopes to head off Proposition M which is backed by the taxi industry. Critics say Proposition M is "a backdoor attempt by taxi companies to increase profit" as it would let the taxi commission issue taxi permits directly to taxi companies instead of drivers.
