Urban design consultants George E. Thomas and Susan Nigra Snyder discuss a visioning process they undertook for the college town of Carlisle, PA. Snyder explains that reinvigoration of older towns like Carlisle lies in the ability to reinvent the purpose, feel, and "buzz" of the town: "You have to transform the way people use it, so it gets connected to the contemporary buzz."
