Caltrans To Use Fast-Setting Concrete
Caltrans will use a new fast-setting concrete for a $6 million rehabilitation project on Interstate 680 between Walnut Creek and Dublin in California. The concrete sets in four hours instead of two to three days and willhelp reduce traffic problems due to construction. The new concrete is not more durable or stronger but is three to five timesmore expensive than conventional concrete.
