Is Chicago's new zoning code too much change too fast, or just what the city needs?

"The Chicago City Council on Wednesday approved a landmark zoning ordinance, setting the stage for a potentially contentious zoning remap of the city, block by block, neighborhood by neighborhood.Aldermen and other local leaders, civic organizations, residents and developers now will begin the process of applying an array of zoning classifications to help determine, for decades to come, the density, character, look and feel of their areas."
