The Transit Cooperative Research Program has recently released chapter 15 of it's Traveler Response to Transportation System Changes Handbook series. This chapter summarizes research studies on travel behavior according to different land use and site design strategies. Responses by type of strategy (density, diversity, site design) and various case studies are presented to help policy makers better evaluate their options.
