"Town planning officials believe an historic wooded area known as 'The Blunders,' with steep topography, expansive rock outcroppings and rare vegetation, could become a prime example of how flexible zoning might work best...Among the 'flexible zoning' options that Randall G. Arendt, who recently made that presentation, advocates is bypassing the 600-foot maximum cul de sac length in favor of using the number of houses on the stub road as an alternative criteria."
