"Town homes have always been a small part of Orlando's housing market....But now just about every large builder in Central Florida is either building town homes or rushing to get such projects under way. Their motivation: The fast-rising cost of land." One Florida builder says: "That's the only answer for home sites relatively close to popular work centers....The alternative is to build 'farther and farther out' on cheaper land."
