A $310 million project in Midtown Detroit continues the development momentum of Detroit's urban core.
"Another boutique hotel is planned for Detroit along the Woodward Avenue spine, this time as part of a new development proposal called The Mid that includes two skyscrapers — one 25 stories and another 30 stories — in yet another development that would reshape the city's skyline," reports Kirk Pinho.
While planning on the project has been underway for well over year, according to Pinho, details became public only last week in the form of a request to the city for brownfield financing for the first phase of the project. The project's developers expect to break ground this summer.
