An advocacy organization in the Tri-State area (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana) is raising awareness about the region's 116,000 acres of preserved greenspace.
"A new initiative called 'Greenspace Gems' celebrates five natural areas in the Tri-State for their outstanding scenic value, biological diversity, scientific importance or historic interest," reports Bill Cieslewicz.
- Bender Mountain Nature Preserve, Hamilton County
- Big Bone Lick State Historic Site, Boone County
- Caesar Creek Gorge State Nature Preserve, Warren County
- Caldwell Nature Preserve, Hamilton County
- Rowe Woods, Clermont County
