16 overgrown acres of land hide a long-unused railroad easement in Muskegee -- so long unused that no one knows who owns it. Muskegee Development wants it.
Cathy Spaulding writes:
"The easement, which runs from the north end of the Georgia-Pacific property to Harold Davis Drive, had been abandoned for nearly 30 years and is overgrown with vegetation, Cousins said.
Cousins said the Muskogee Industrial Trust has two lots on the southwest part of the property that could be developed to attract industries. He said the potential of rail service could be a drawing card for such properties, he said."
