A forest management company in Northern Idaho has set aside a 647-acre grizzly bear habitat. Part of the deal is that the company will not log while the grizzlies are in the house.
The easement is the first grizzly bear habitat funded through the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Endangered Species Recovery Land Acquisition program.

"'This project is a great example of how private landowners, conservation organizations, and public agencies can partner together to promote conservation,' said Kennon McClintock, region manager for Forest Capital Partners' Idaho region."
