The Program Manager III position will lead Transportation Demand Management planning, parking enterprise, programming, contract management for the Austin Transportation Department. In addition, this position must be effective and savvy in media (social, other), communications, and stakeholder engagement.
Immediate Projects:
- Movability Contract
- MetroBike TASA Grant Application (oversight)
- Supervisor: managing program staff for MetroBike, Movability, Get There ATX
- SPOC for TDM with CAMPO, CAPCOG, TxDOT and other regional partners.
Priority Goals:
- Successfully manage a team of professionals for the delivery of Transportation Demand Management programs.
- Establish metric, KPIs, and perform data analysis to quantify outcomes for TDM.
- Transportation modeling.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience communicating and interacting with a variety of individuals such as internal and external stakeholders, including presenting at meetings and public events.
- Proven professional knowledge of transportation planning and Transportation Demand Management (TDM) practices, principles, and performance measures and metrics.
- Experience with contract management or delivery of programs.
- Knowledge of supervisory and managerial techniques and principles, supervising, coaching, mentoring.
- Experience working with Metropolitan Planning Organization or other regional transportation planning organizations for TDM initiatives.
- Experience in developing effective social media outreach and communications programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduation with Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to the job, plus five (5) years of experience in a field related to the job, including two (2) years of experience which were in a supervisory, project or program management capacity.
Licenses or Certifications:
- Valid Texas Class C Driver License.
