Voting for a new project called "Art Everywhere" is currently open to the public on works from five of the country’s largest and most respected museums. The vote will help decide which images get placed on some 50,000 billboards this summer.

Members of the Outdoor Advertising Association of America will donate space on about 50,000 billboards around the country this summer for the Art Everywhere project. “The Art Everywhere project, featuring reproductions of well-known and/or important American works…will decorate streetscapes for four weeks with more than 50 works at more than 50,000 advertising locations,” reports Steve Johnson for the Chicago Tribune.
To select the art works that will the public is invited to vote “for its favorite works from a list of 100 from the collections of Dallas, Chicago, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art.” The winning images will be announced on June 20 and will go on display during the month of August.
