Friday Fun: Build Your Own 'Mini Metro'

It's been available since September 2013, but news of the "Mini Metro' subway layout game recently hit the web. Finally, a test for all those armchair enthusiasts who think they can make the trains run on time.
Mini Metro / Mini Metro

“Mini Metro” is a minimalistic, simple game—except that it’s very difficult. The idea is to strategically build lines on a limited budget—even as demand continues to pop up as the city grows. Improve by moving more passengers and keeping service open for longer.

The game’s makers, the Dinosaur Polo Club, call the game “Compelling, constructive, hectic, relaxed gameplay.” The early version of the game includes four maps of real cities, including London and New York.

If you've played the game, what have you learned? Please share your thoughts in the comments
